The Uncluttered Life is a mother-daughter professional organizing team based in Arlington, Texas, serving Dallas, Fort Worth, and surrounding DFW communities.
Co-founder Cathy Orr is a Certified KonMari Master Consultant with extensive professional organizing experience and served as a panelist for the KonMari Consultant Training in 2020.
Co-founder Danica Carson earned a Bachelor of Arts from UC Berkeley in Media Studies with an emphasis in fine arts. Her background in design, visual communication, marketing, and home styling shapes the creative direction behind The Uncluttered Life and Hack Decks.
Together, Cathy and Danica combine proven organizing methods with thoughtful design to create spaces that are functional, personalized, and easier to live in.

Danica’s Philosophy
As a mom, designer, and professional organizer, I know that a beautiful home means very little if it does not work for real life. I understand the constant tension between wanting a space to feel calm and pulled together while also making room for kids, work, laundry, meals, and everyday mess.
My approach blends organization with design. I look beyond where things should be stored and consider how a space feels, flows, and functions. Using principles of balance, proportion, and visual clarity, I create systems that support everyday life while making a home feel more intentional and less visually overwhelming.
I am especially drawn to the point where organization and human behavior meet—why people get stuck, what makes a system easier to maintain, and how thoughtful design can make taking action feel more natural. That perspective shapes both my work with clients and the products I create for the Hack Decks brand.
Why I Created Hack Decks
As the creator and designer of Hack Decks, I wanted to turn what I learned as a professional organizer into tools people could use on their own. My background in organizing, design, media, and visual communication helped me see that clutter is not always the only problem—knowing where to start can be just as difficult.
I created Declutter Deck®, Declutter Deck: Kids & Family Edition, and Ten Minute Tidying Tasks™ to break home organization, decluttering, and everyday tidying into smaller, more manageable actions. Instead of facing an entire room or long to-do list, you can pull one card and focus on one clear organizing or decluttering task.
The goal behind these decks is simple: reduce some of the decision-making that makes home projects feel overwhelming and give people an easier way to start, make progress, and keep going until their surroundings feel calm and organized.

Cathy’s Philosophy
I am a Certified KonMari Master Consultant and professional organizer with more than 30 years of organizing experience and thousands of hours spent helping clients create homes and systems that work better for everyday life. I completed my KonMari certification training in Los Angeles in 2019 and later had the honor of serving as a panelist for KonMari’s 2020 International Certification Course.
I also bring graduate-level education in Patient Advocacy and Health Policy and Law from the University of California, San Francisco, which has shaped the way I approach complex paperwork, medical and insurance records, downsizing, and major life transitions.
While the KonMari Method® is an important foundation of my work, experience has taught me that no two people, homes, or seasons of life are the same. I adapt every organizing system to the individual—how they live, what they value, what they are ready to let go of, and what will truly support them moving forward.
What matters most to me is the relief people feel when a space no longer weighs on them. I especially value helping clients through demanding transitions, including downsizing, when letting go of belongings can be both practical and deeply emotional. My goal is to bring not only order, but greater clarity, confidence, and ease to everyday life.
A Mother-Daughter Approach to Organizing
As mother and daughter, we have always brought different strengths to organizing. Cathy brings decades of hands-on experience helping people work through clutter and difficult decisions, while Danica brings a background in design, media, and visual communication.
Together, we developed two different approaches to helping people get organized. The Uncluttered Life provides personalized, hands-on professional organizing services. Hack Decks offers do-it-yourself organizing tools using physical prompt cards that tell you what to focus on and what action to take.
Both approaches grew from years of working together and finding practical ways to make organizing feel more manageable.
