The Uncluttered Life® Organizing Team
Meet the Expert Organizers
Credentials and Expertise
The Uncluttered Life, Inc. is distinguished by its expertise, credentials, and personalized approach to home organization.
Our co-founder, Cathy, holds the prestigious Certified Master Consultant designation in Marie Kondo’s KonMari Method®—a recognition earned by fewer than 100 professional organizers worldwide, and only 50 within the United States. Attaining this title requires more than 1,500 hours of professional organizing experience, and Cathy has exceeded that benchmark with over 3,000 hours of hands-on decluttering and organizing. She has also represented the KonMari community internationally, serving as a panelist at KonMari Consultant Training in 2020.
Our co-founder, Danica, brings a unique perspective that blends artistry with organization. A UC Berkeley graduate with a multi-disciplinary degree in design, semiotics, media, and communications, she combines thoughtful design principles with practical functionality. Her years of experience in home styling and spatial design enhance our holistic approach, ensuring every space is both visually appealing and deeply functional.
The Uncluttered Life’s expertise has been recognized nationally, with features in Architectural Digest, Real Simple Magazine, The Spruce, Better Homes and Gardens, and Martha Stewart, among others.
At The Uncluttered Life, we merge proven organizing methods with a stylized approach, helping clients create spaces that truly reflect their lifestyles, support their goals, and promote lasting peace of mind.
DANICA
Co-founder and Creator of Declutter Deck®
As a young mother to a little boy, I deeply understand the challenges of balancing home organization with the everyday demands of parenting. Between caring for children, managing work, tackling laundry, preparing meals, and picking up mountains of toys, it can often feel like there simply aren’t enough hours in the day. I see so many friends facing the same struggle—wanting a home that feels peaceful and put-together, yet realistic for family life.
Stylist, Creator of Declutter Deck®
I graduated from UC Berkeley with an interdisciplinary major that helps me understand the need for intentional design. With this academic background, I approach organization through a creative and visual lens, bringing both structure and style to every project.
My design philosophy centers on the belief that a well-organized space should also be visually appealing and inspiring. I draw on principles of balance, proportion, and flow to create interiors that feel both functional and beautiful. Every color, texture, and storage solution is chosen with intention—enhancing the overall aesthetic while supporting daily routines. By merging design and organization, I help clients create spaces that not only work efficiently but also reflect their personality, taste, and need for calm.

CATHY
Master Level Organizer in the KonMari Method®
I am a Certified Master Consultant in the KonMari Method®, featured on Marie Kondo’s Netflix series Tidying Up with Marie Kondo and Sparking Joy with Marie Kondo. I draw inspiration from Marie Kondo’s bestselling books — The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up, Spark Joy, and Joy at Work — integrating her core principles into my own practice. I completed my KonMari training in Los Angeles in 2019 and later served as a panelist for KonMari’s 2020 Certification Course, where I shared insights to help guide other consultants in their professional journeys.
While I’m proud to hold the title of Certified Master Consultant, I see it as just one part of a holistic and compassionate approach to decluttering and home organization. To me, organization is more than creating order — it’s about simplifying life, reducing waste, and saving time and money through thoughtful, sustainable systems. When your home is well organized, you can find what you need quickly, avoid unnecessary purchases, and spend less time managing clutter. Effective organization eliminates duplication, reduces stress, and creates efficiency in your daily routines — giving you back valuable time and energy for the things that matter most.
With over twenty years of hands-on experience organizing homes of many types, I’ve seen it all — and I approach every project with empathy and understanding. So please don’t hesitate or feel embarrassed to reach out — there’s absolutely no judgment here, only support and solutions.
Empty Nesters and Downsizing Advocate
I have extensive experience navigating complex medical paperwork, supported by graduate-level degrees in Patient Advocacy and Health Policy and Law from UCSF. In addition, I completed specialized training through HICAP, part of the national State Health Insurance Assistance Programs (SHIP) network, which is recognized for providing unbiased, accurate Medicare guidance.
This background allows me to effectively assist those going through life transitions, empty nesters and downsizers with home and paperwork organization. This is a new chapter of life and for many, a new beginning. My keen eye provides guidance in what to keep and what to let go. I help clients feel at ease as they let go of belongings—especially those they've kept for years or have sentimental meaning but no longer truly serve them.
